Cook - Here are some of the recipes that my friends & family have asked for . They're not in any particular order ... yet !
Flatbreads
-
300g plain flour
-
5g salt
-
185g milk
-
50g butter, melted
Sieve flour & salt into a bowl
(use less salt if you prefer).Pour milk & melted butter over the flour & mix to form a dough. Cover & leave to rest for at least 1/2 an hour. Divide dough into 12 balls & roll each into a circle approx 3mm thick. Cook in a dry frying pan on a medium to high heat until there is some colouration on both sides. This only takes a couple of minutes for each one. Cool on a rack..
I sometimes replace the plain flour with sekf -raising, which makes a lighter, fluffier bread , not quite 'flat' though !
